Eastern Miles
SkyTeam · miles · Rolling 12 months (thresholds in kilometres, plus a mandatory annual spend gate)
Elite tiers
| Tier | miles required from zero |
|---|---|
| Silver | 15,000 |
| Gold | 25,000 |
| Platinum | 55,000 |
No tier here is mapped to alliance-wide lounge access on this site: Every Eastern Miles tier requires a mandatory annual spend in yuan as well as the kilometres flown, so a percentage of the distance requirement alone would overstate how close a member is.
Requirements beyond the threshold
- Silver — Plus CNY 20,000 of annual spend (mandatory, not an alternative).
- Gold — Plus CNY 40,000 of annual spend (mandatory, not an alternative).
- Platinum — Plus CNY 100,000 of annual spend (mandatory, not an alternative).
These apply in addition to the miles figure, so reaching the number alone does not confer the tier.
Verified at source 9 Aug 2026 — the Eastern Miles member handbook (easternmiles.ceair.com, fully public, contrary to the earlier login-walled finding) publishes both tables in HTML. Upgrade (any 12 consecutive calendar months, since 1 Jan 2025): Silver 13 qualifying segments OR 15,000 qualifying KILOMETRES, PLUS ¥20,000 annual spend; Gold 25 segments or 25,000 km plus ¥40,000; Platinum 45 segments or 55,000 km plus ¥100,000. The thresholds shown are the kilometre figures — NB this calculator computes statute miles, so they are display-only. Renewal (since 1 Jul 2025) uses the same figures with spend mandatory and segments-or-mileage either/or; consecutive renewals earn published discounts (2nd: Silver 12 seg/14,250 km · Gold 24/23,750 · Platinum 43/52,250; 3rd+: 11/13,500 · 23/22,500 · 41/49,500 — spend never discounted). SkyTeam mapping published: Platinum and Gold = Elite Plus, Silver = Elite. Excess indicators roll into the next cycle's renewal only. Earning was captured on 31 Aug 2026 and is modelled in kilometres, the same unit as the thresholds above. China Eastern tracks four separate indicators — mileage points, tier mileage, tier count and spend — which it states cannot be split between programmes; only TIER MILEAGE counts for status, and that is what this calculator computes. On China Eastern, Shanghai Airlines and China United metal, tier mileage is simply the segment's standard mileage at 100%, with no fare-class multiplier at all; A, O and X (award and infant tickets) earn nothing on any indicator. Partner flights carry a published per-letter table, and on SkyTeam partners a sector shorter than 500 km is counted as 500 km before the percentage is applied. Known limits: China Eastern's separate CODESHARE table — flights sold as MU but flown by a partner — is not modelled, and it contains the one rate that cannot be expressed here anyway, class H earning 100% internationally but 30% within mainland China; Japan Airlines, Qantas and Etihad (from 1 June 2025) are partners only through that codeshare table, and an FM-coded flight flown by JAL or Qantas earns nothing at all; Delta and Garuda — the two partner tables an earlier pass could not attribute — were identified from the PDFs' own text layers on 31 Aug 2026 (cross-checked on values; Delta's 150% cabin bonus is unique across all eighteen tables) and are now encoded; Delta's table has one letter clipped in the source beside K, which stays unknown. NB the published column order was mis-read in the first pass — tier mileage is the THIRD numeric column, not the first — so the sixteen partner-table rows whose base points and tier mileage differ were corrected on 31 Aug 2026, every one UPWARD (the haircuts fall on base points, not tier mileage; letter H's mainland/international split is a base-point split and its tier mileage is 100% everywhere; the three similarly-affected rows of the MU-coded SkyTeam codeshare table have no encoded twin — codeshares are outside this calculator's marketing-equals-operating model); and the 500 km minimum is applied only to partner flights, because the published sentence enumerates the flight types it governs and China Eastern's own metal is not among them. Renewal at the same threshold, re-read independently on the Chinese-language Eastern Miles member portal at ceair.com (capture Y, 11 Sep 2026) after the English handbook host returned 403: the page publishes one table under 续级标准 (renewal standard) that is figure for figure identical to the 升级标准 (upgrade standard) table above it — 15,000 / 25,000 / 55,000 km with the same mandatory annual spend.
