Segment alternative: Titanium 20, Gold 30, Platinum 50 qualifying sectors (increased from 1 Jul 2026). Members aged 60+ receive a 20% reduction. Note that a Vietnam Airlines SEGMENT is not one flight: segments are weighted by both distance and fare family, so a single 5,000-mile-plus sector counts as 12.0 segments in Business Flex, 2.0 in Economy Lite and 0.0 in Economy Super Lite — the segment alternative is far easier to reach on long-haul premium flying than the sector counts suggest. The accrual card was re-pulled at its 26 August 2026 revision and diffed cell by cell against the previous one: all 56 numeric cells are identical, and the single substantive change is that booking class Z lost its domestic exception — the footnote putting Z into Premium Economy Flex on Vietnam domestic routes was deleted, so Z now earns the Premium Economy Classic rate (1.20) everywhere, as encoded. Class Q keeps its own carve-out (Economy Classic rather than Economy Lite on routes between Vietnam and Europe, Australia, the United States and China), which has no schema key and is not modelled — Q is understated on those corridors. ANA, China Southern and Etihad earn bonus (award) miles only — no tier credit. Renewal at the same threshold, stated on the tier-eligibility page (capture X, 5 Sep 2026).
