Qualification window is the calendar year (1 January – 31 December), and the same threshold both reaches and maintains a tier. The reported segment-route contradiction DISSOLVED on a full re-read (capture U, 31 Aug 2026, Primary): the live tier pages print 25,000 / 50,000 / 80,000 / 100,000 qualifying POINTS — the '25/50/80/100 segments' claim was those figures with the thousands dropped — and no segment alternative appears on them at all; the January 2026 programme terms abolish Qualifying Segments as a route to any level from 1 January 2026, with tickets bought on or before 31 December 2025 grandfathered under the old rules. Own metal earns 8 qualifying points per US dollar before tax; Basic Economy (class V) earns no eligible points, confirmed in two independent documents. Since 1 January 2026 qualifying points are ALSO granted on ancillaries — 8/USD on seat selection and Premier upgrades, 4/USD on Vacations packages — which contradicts the tier pages' own 'exclusively by flying' definition; both are recorded, neither modelled. The tier pages are also inconsistent about partner scope (Platino's omits Delta; the others name it) — treated as sloppy copy, not a rule. Partner flying is recognised but Aeroméxico publishes no per-partner rate anywhere, so a partner segment here shows an unknown rate rather than a zero. SkyTeam: Platinum and Titanium both confer Elite Plus. Renewal at the same threshold, stated on the Aeroméxico Rewards learn page (capture Y, 11 Sep 2026): its comparison table is headed ‘Eligible Points to reach or maintain the level’ and carries one row of figures — 25,000 / 50,000 / 80,000 / 100,000 — serving both.
