Gold confers SkyTeam Elite Plus — the lowest tier in this programme with alliance-wide lounge access. Alliance mapping last verified 8 August 2026. Conditions beyond the threshold: Flight-count alternative: 26 flights (Silver 14, Platinum 50).; A minimum of 4 flights on Air Europa metal is required within the 12-month qualification period.; Level Miles is the base Suma Miles/Bonus Business Miles figure — the +50/75/100% Silver/Gold/Platinum tier bonus is redeemable-only and does not count towards status.. Requirements beyond the threshold
- Silver — At least 4 flights on Air Europa metal within the 12-month period.
- Gold — At least 4 flights on Air Europa metal within the 12-month period.
- Platinum — At least 4 flights on Air Europa metal within the 12-month period.
These apply in addition to the Level miles figure, so reaching the number alone does not confer the tier.
Flight-count alternative: Silver 14, Gold 26, Platinum 50 flights. A minimum of 4 flights on Air Europa metal within the 12-month period is required. The window itself is hedged: Air Europa publishes two irreconcilable rules — a flat rolling 12 months, and a window that extends with each qualifying transaction — and the stricter rolling reading is the one used here. Level Miles come from flights only: Suma Miles earned with hotels, car hire, the Suma store and the co-brand card earn no Level Miles at all, whatever Air Europa's English FAQ says (three sources against one sentence). The Business bonus is applied to booking classes J, C and D, which is OUR inference — Air Europa publishes the bonus without naming any letters, and the letters were read across from China Airlines' own Air Europa partner table. One caveat on the fare figure: Air Europa publishes its rate per euro and treats £1 and $1 AS €1 rather than converting, so entering a sterling ticket price as GBP overstates the result by roughly 17% — enter the fare in euros. The one place that parity sentence has been READ live (capture U, 31 Aug 2026 — English and Spanish pages) it sits under the UX-marketed-on-Virgin-Atlantic revenue table alone and attaches to nothing else, so whether it also governs Air Europa's own-metal rate is unconfirmed either way — the euro-entry advice stands as the safe reading. The Virgin Atlantic partner chart itself is encoded from that same read (migration 201, the Total column): a member's CARD-LEVEL bonus (Silver +50% / Gold +75% / Platinum +100%, applied to Base Miles only, never to the class bonus) is published but not modelled — no member-tier control exists — so figures shown are the no-status baseline. Whether those Miles feed the tier counter IS now answered: four artefacts across both languages (the Level-Miles pages and the definitional T&C clause, read 31 Aug 2026) scope Level Miles to flights on Air Europa and SkyTeam member airlines, with exclusive wording — and Virgin Atlantic has been a SkyTeam member since 2023, so VS-operated flights are inside that scope and the chart is scored as status. Two adjacent facts from the same read: carbon offset credits are a published NON-flight Level-Mile source (50 Level Miles per €10), and Level Miles expire after 12 months regardless of account activity. The SUMA terms contain no currency-parity sentence in either language (an enumerated zero across both documents), so the treat-£-and-$-as-€ caveat above rests only on the earlier research read — entering the fare in euros remains the safe advice either way. Renewal at the same threshold, stated on each Suma level page under its own ‘How to maintain my Suma … level’ heading (capture Y, 11 Sep 2026): the maintain figures are 14 flights / 18,000 Level Miles for Silver, 26 / 32,000 for Gold and 50 / 60,000 for Platinum — identical to the figures that reach them, and each still requires at least 4 Air Europa flights.
Reaching this status
SUMA publishes conditions that sit alongside the Level miles threshold, so reaching the number on its own does not confer the tier. They are shown here and never scored — the Lark Score measures Level miles earned and nothing else. Where the published wording says more than the summary line, the wording governs.
Own-flight minimum
- At least 4 flights operated by Air Europa within 12 months.
Applies both when qualifying and when keeping a tier.
Scope ambiguous at source: Air Europa footnotes this minimum under the flight-count route only, and does not say whether it also binds the Level miles route. Disclosed rather than resolved.
Published wording and our capture notes
A minimum of 4 flights with Air Europa must be taken. SCOPE AMBIGUOUS AT SOURCE (gap J-C6): footnoted under the flight-count qualification route only; not stated whether it also binds the Level Miles route.
