Gold confers SkyTeam Elite Plus — the lowest tier in this programme with alliance-wide lounge access. Alliance mapping last verified 12 July 2026. Conditions beyond the threshold: Alternative route: 45 qualifying SAS one-way flights.. Compare lounge access across programmes →
Flight-count alternative: Silver 10, Gold 45, Diamond 90 qualifying SAS flights within the 12-month qualification period, which runs from your own join month rather than a common date — a 3-month grace period follows, after which unused Level points expire at 15 months, and nothing rolls over. On SAS-marketed, SkyTeam-partner-operated codeshares Level points come from SAS's own two-column table: distance × (distance multiplier + booking-class multiplier), the same formula as the partner-marketed pages, so economy letters DO earn (an earlier reading of that one table dropped the distance column and showed economy as a published zero). Partner-marketed SkyTeam flights earn Level points by SAS's published formula — distance x (distance multiplier + booking-class multiplier), per-carrier charts encoded 9 Aug 2026, with published unlisted-class zeros; Singapore Airlines is the one non-SkyTeam partner that also earns Level points. TAP and Etihad earn Bonus points only. Renewal at the same threshold, stated in the EuroBonus FAQ (capture Y, 11 Sep 2026): ‘Your status is renewed at the same level if you meet the requirements by your level expiration date’, and flysas.com publishes only one set of figures per level — no separate, lower renewal bar appears anywhere on the membership-levels page.
