Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what GarudaMiles publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over the same qualification window as the reaching figure; a dash means no separate retention threshold has been captured for that rung, not that renewal is automatic.
Thresholds are absolute Tier Miles accumulated within one 12-month activity period, and Garuda publishes no reset on reaching a tier — only at the period boundary, where the counter does not carry forward. Flight-count alternative to reach: Silver 10, Gold 20, Platinum 60 eligible flights. Maintenance is published for every rung and is lower above Silver: Silver 10,000 or 10 flights (the same figure it takes to reach), Gold 15,000 or 20, Platinum 25,000 or 55; Blue keeps its account alive with one activity in 36 months, and a Platinum who renews receives a 5,000-mile gift. Garuda never uses the words 'calendar year' — its three phrasings are 'activity period', a 12-month 'accumulation period' and a 12-month 'membership period'. Earning is now modelled from Garuda's own accrual table, effective 8 September 2025 (read 31 Aug 2026): First 400% (F/A/P), Business 300% (J), 250% (C/D), 200% (I), Economy 100% (Y), 80% (W/B/M/K/N), 30% (Q/T/V/H/S/G), 10% (L), 2% (E/U/Z). Two of those are worth knowing: W is filed as ECONOMY at 80%, not premium economy, and the 2% band earns miles but no flight count. The table's single column is headed 'Tier & Award Miles', so one percentage serves both currencies — there is no separate tier-mile chart and no conversion to look for. Partner flights show an unknown rate: Tier Miles are earned on 'GarudaMiles and Skyteam flights' but Garuda publishes no partner rate table, and five of the 21 airlines in its partner index (Singapore, Emirates, JAL, Qatar, Etihad) sit outside SkyTeam and by that same sentence earn Award Miles only.
