Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what Alfursan publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over the same qualification window as the reaching figure; a dash means no separate retention threshold has been captured for that rung, not that renewal is automatic.

Flight-count alternative: Silver 20, Gold 40 sectors (maintain 15 / 30). Retention thresholds are lower (Silver 20,000 / Gold 40,000). Tier Credits are earned only on Saudia and SkyTeam partner flights, calculated from flight distance and class of travel over the calendar year, and the elite tier bonus is award-side only — Saudia's own worked example credits Jeddah–Dubai in Y at 1,048 Tier Credits for Green, Silver and Gold alike while Reward Miles rise with tier ('Bonus Miles for Reward Miles only'). Own-metal earning is keyed on the FARE BRAND, not the booking class. Saudia re-keyed its two earning tables between the August and 31 August 2026 reads: they now publish eight brands and not one booking letter appears on the page. Domestic — Guest Saver 0%, Basic 60%, Semi Flex 80%, FLEX 110%; Business Basic 175%, Semi Flex 225%, FLEX 250%; First 350%. International — the Guest rates are the same and the premium ones lower: Business Basic 125%, Semi Flex 150%, FLEX 175%; First 250%. A SAVER-BRAND TICKET EARNS NOTHING: 0% in both earning tables, 0 in both branded-fares tabs, and named in the T&C exclusion list, which covers 'Reward Miles or Tier Credits' explicitly. The percentage is read as the Tier Credit rate on the arithmetic proof above (same tables, same page family). The superseded booking-letter chart has been retired rather than left computing figures Saudia no longer publishes, and NO letter resolves on its own: a 31 Aug 2026 price join put booking class V on a Guest SAVER fare (Jeddah–Dubai, penny-exact against ITA Matrix) after an earlier join had put the same V on Guest BASIC (London–Jeddah) — one letter, two brands, two markets, and sibling fare bases show one brand spanning a family of letters. The two letter conveniences briefly kept beside the brand model were retired the same day; every Saudia letter needs the fare brand selecting, which is also what Saudia's own T&Cs tell members to do. Guest Saver IS bookable (it was on sale on domestic and regional sectors, and its live fare card prints an explicit cross against AlFursan Miles — a fifth independent artefact for the zero); it is simply never offered on the London route. Saudia publishes no brand-to-letter map, now confirmed two independent ways — the public pages and the app's own 53-entry branded-fare dictionary, which carries no booking-class field at all. Green is the base tier and never expires. A card runs to 31 December of the year AFTER the year it was earned, so a tier earned in January is held for nearly two years and one earned in December for barely twelve months; missing the retention bar drops you exactly one level, effective 1 January. Accrual keys to the OPERATING carrier, not the airline on the ticket. Partner charts are headed 'Total Accrued Miles' with no Tier Credit wording, so SV-credited partner flying still shows an unknown rate. The circulating claim that Saudia domestic flights earn no Tier Credits is unsupported — Saudia's own second worked example is a domestic sector. Not modelled, disclosed: the 75% rate for members aged 2–11; 'Saver brand is not eligible for upgrade by Miles'; and Saudia's own caveat that the figures are subject to change and members should check the fare card given at booking.
