Gold confers SkyTeam Elite Plus — the lowest tier in this programme with alliance-wide lounge access. Alliance mapping last verified 9 August 2026. Conditions beyond the threshold: Gold requires 40,000 tier points or 30 sectors (verified at source 9 Aug 2026); KQ's T&Cs state only Kenya Airways flights earn qualifying points, despite the tier pages naming SkyTeam partners — the terms govern.. Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what Asante Rewards publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over the same qualification window as the reaching figure; a dash means no separate retention threshold has been captured for that rung, not that renewal is automatic.

Reach thresholds VERIFIED AT SOURCE 9 Aug 2026 (the tier pages are client-rendered — a browser read; raw fetch returns a shell): Silver 20,000 tier points or 15 sectors, Gold 40,000 or 30, Platinum 65,000 or 60. The lower retention set is published too, on a different page — asante.kenya-airways.com/pages/benefit, under the row 'Reduced thresholds to maintain Elite Status': Silver 15,000 or 12 sectors, Gold 30,000 or 25, Platinum 60,000 or 50. That row carries a live publisher inconsistency inside a single table row: Silver's and Gold's sentences read 'on Kenya Airways and partner flights', Platinum's narrows to 'on KQ flights'. Qualification runs on a rolling 12 months — 'Your Tier level is determined based on the number of Tier Points you earn within the stipulated 12-month period' — and a downgrade drops one level at a time. Earning is now modelled from Kenya Airways' own formula (read 31 Aug 2026): 'Tier Points are awarded based on the sum product of Distance flown and Fare Class %', with the percentages published in the fare-class header — Business 200% (J/C), 150% (I/D), 100% (Z); Economy 125% (Y/B), 100% (M/U/K/H), 75% (L/Q/T/E/N), 50% (V/R/G/W). Two things about that page are easy to get wrong and are worth stating: the ABSOLUTE figures in the grid body are Reward Points, a different currency on a route-group lookup, and the tier bonuses (Silver 50%, Gold 75%, Platinum 100%) lift only those — Kenya Airways' own worked example credits Nairobi–London at 4,242 Tier Points identically at all four tiers. The '250 points per flight' minimum on the same page is likewise published under base Reward points, not Tier Points, so no floor is applied here. Partner metal shows an unknown rate: Tier Points are earned on SkyTeam partners, but no published table extends the fare-class percentages to them. One further live publisher conflict recorded: the tier pages say points are earned 'on KQ and SkyTeam partners' while the T&Cs say 'Only points accumulated on flights with Kenya Airways... are counted as qualifying status points' — the terms govern, so treat partner flying as not counting unless KQ states otherwise. KQ also names this currency three ways (tier points / Tier Miles / qualifying status points). Travel-agency rebated and staff ID tickets (ID00/ID90/ID75/ID50) earn nothing. Gold and Platinum both confer SkyTeam Elite Plus.
