Gold confers Star Alliance Gold — the lowest tier in this programme with alliance-wide lounge access. Alliance mapping last verified 6 August 2026. Conditions beyond the threshold: Cheaper own-metal route exists (24,000 tier miles after Silver with 4+ Aegean/Olympic flights).; Miles expire on a rolling basis one year after each flight rather than resetting.; Restructure 5 Nov 2026: Gold total rises to 72,000, a 32-flight route is added, and a new Platinum tier launches.. Any-airline tier-mile totals shown — the most expensive of the qualification routes, and the only one that does not depend on flying Aegean itself. Cheaper own-metal routes exist (Silver: 12,000 tier miles with 2+ Aegean/Olympic flights; Gold: a further 24,000 with 4+). Retention is a lower bar on the own-metal route and the same bar on the any-airline one: Silver retains on 8,000 tier miles including at least 2 Aegean/Olympic flights, or 35,000 on any airline; Gold on 12,000 including at least 4, or 70,000 — assessed over a fixed 12 months running from the upgrade or renewal date. NB Aegean words the own-metal routes as what you accumulate and the any-airline routes as a total, and its T&Cs do not resolve that difference. Miles expire on a rolling basis one year after each flight rather than resetting. Olympic Air is priced as Aegean's OWN metal — the scope sentence, the crediting rules and the miles calculator all group the two carriers, and the calculator has no operator dimension at all. Elite status does NOT accelerate tier miles: the Blue/Silver/Gold selector on Aegean's own calculator moves the award column only, so a Gold member reaches the next tier no faster per flight. Airlines outside Star Alliance earn nothing — Aegean names Emirates, British Airways and Qatar as examples in its own exclusion sentence. A four-tier restructure lands on 5 November 2026 and is already encoded; the note that replaces this one on the day carries its three qualification routes in full. Renewal at the same threshold on the any-airline route the ladder encodes, stated in the Miles+Bonus terms and conditions (capture Y, 11 Sep 2026): Silver renews on ‘8,000 Tier Miles including at least two (2) flights with AEGEAN or/and Olympic Air or a total of 35,000 Tier miles regardless of the partner airline’, and Gold on 12,000 including at least four (4) or a total of 70,000 — so the cheaper own-metal route is a lower bar while the any-airline figures shown here renew at the same 35,000 and 70,000. Verified against aegeanair.com T&Cs and calculator, Aug 2026.
