EgyptAir Plus resets your qualifying balance when you reach a tier. The middle column is the total from a standing start; the last column is what a member who has just qualified for the tier below still has to earn.

Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what EgyptAir Plus publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over the same qualification window as the reaching figure; a dash means no separate retention threshold has been captured for that rung, not that renewal is automatic.

Tier Miles are counted in windows from each tier-upgrade date, and the windows are not uniform: Silver to Gold and Gold to Elite each run 2 years, Elite to Platinum runs 3, and no window is published for the climb from Blue to Silver (Gold needs a further 30,000 after Silver; Elite a further 300,000; Platinum a further 600,000). EgyptAir Plus DOES publish its earning charts — an own-metal booking-class table and 27 partner tables — but only inside its single-page app's JavaScript, which is why earlier passes reported empty sections. The own-metal table (31 Aug 2026) is now complete: business C, D, J and Z at 200%; premium economy A at 175%; economy Y and B at 150%, M, Q, H and K at 100%, V and L at 50%, and E, G, W, T and S at 25% — each with a published figure (1,000 / 900 / 750 / 500 / 250 / 150) that serves as both the international minimum and the fixed domestic award. One percentage per letter; there is no separate domestic table. P is NOT published — there is no P row and no 75% band anywhere in the table — so a P ticket shows an unknown rate; the 75%-international-only figure circulating for it is unsupported. Olympic Air earns NO Tier Miles: EgyptAir does publish a full Olympic earning chart, but the qualification clause gates Tier Miles to 'EGYPTAIR flights, or Star Alliance Member Carriers' at every rung, and EgyptAir's own site code files Olympic outside the Star Alliance grouping under a hardcoded 'Other Airlines' heading. EgyptAir also publishes its own exclusion set — X, I, O, R, N and F earn nothing on EgyptAir metal — and twenty-five Star Alliance partner charts are encoded. The booking-class exclusion lists circulating for EgyptAir belong to OTHER programmes crediting EgyptAir metal (Aegean, Turkish, ShebaMiles, MileagePlus) and say nothing about what EgyptAir Plus pays its own members — Voyager and ShebaMiles publish two different, both-correct zero sets for the same EgyptAir flights. Retention is published as a separate, lower set with its own sector routes, which exist for retention only and not for reaching a tier: Silver 15,000 Tier Miles or 16 sectors over 2 years, Gold 40,000 or 36 over 2 years, Elite 400,000 or 200 over 3 years, Platinum 800,000 over 5 years (re-read at source 11 September 2026, capture Y, and unchanged). Only SILVER of those four is a like-for-like lower bar and so the only one carried structurally: 15,000 over two years against the 30,000 it takes to reach Silver. Gold’s 40,000 is measured over the same two years as the 30,000 step that climbs Silver to Gold, and is HIGHER than it, so it is a harder bar to keep the tier than to win it and stays here rather than being shown as a retention discount. Elite’s 400,000 runs over three years against a two-year climb, and Platinum’s 800,000 over five against a three-year climb — different windows from the figures beside them, so neither is comparable and both stay here too. EgyptAir's 20 / 30 / 35 / 40% tier bonuses are Award miles — holding status never accelerates Tier Miles. Re-checked at egyptairplus.com, Aug 2026.
