Gold confers Star Alliance Gold — the lowest tier in this programme with alliance-wide lounge access. Alliance mapping last verified 4 August 2026. Conditions beyond the threshold: 80,000 Status Miles from a standing start, and it cannot be done in one year: 30,000 to reach Silver, then a further 50,000 inside a second 12-month window while that Silver card is valid.; Silver's 4 EVA Air / UNI Air international sectors gate the whole climb, so there is no partner-only route to Star Alliance Gold — though the second half may be flown wholly on partner metal.; Flight-count alternative: 50 qualifying international flights (Star Alliance sectors excluded from the count route). Infinity MileageLands resets your qualifying balance when you reach a tier. The middle column is the total from a standing start; the last column is what a member who has just qualified for the tier below still has to earn.
Requirements beyond the threshold
- Silver — At least 4 EVA Air or UNI Air international sectors.
These apply in addition to the miles figure, so reaching the number alone does not confer the tier.
From-zero totals shown. Each upgrade is measured over a 12-month period INSIDE the currently valid card of the tier beneath, so Gold costs 30,000 Status Miles to reach Silver and then a further 50,000 across a second window — it cannot be completed in one year, however much is flown. Diamond adds a further 120,000 on top. Silver additionally requires 4+ EVA/UNI international sectors (conjunctive), and because Gold is gated on holding Silver, that own-metal minimum blocks a partner-only route to Star Alliance Gold outright — while the second half of the climb may be flown wholly on partner metal. Surplus MILEAGE carries forward one year; surplus sectors do not. Renewals differ and run over the 2-year card validity: Silver 40,000 (no flight condition), Gold 80,000, Diamond 200,000 — so Gold is easier to keep than to get. Flight-count alternatives: 26/50/100 to upgrade, 42/80/140 to renew. Star Alliance sectors never count toward the flight-count route. EVA prices award and status miles identically on its own metal — its accrual table uses a single combined column — so the published percentages are the status figures; the tier bonus (Diamond/Gold 25%, Silver 15%) is award-only by EVA's own note. Not modelled: accrual is based on the LOWER of the ticketed and flown class, and EVA's separate flight-sector count (2 down to 0.5 per sector) is a second qualification currency.
