Gold Sparrow confers Oneworld Sapphire — the lowest tier in this programme with alliance-wide lounge access. Alliance mapping last verified 4 August 2026. Conditions beyond the threshold: Segment alternative: 30 segments in 12 months; retention is lower (30,000 tier miles or 26 segments).. Compare lounge access across programmes →

Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what Royal Club publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over the same qualification window as the reaching figure; a dash means no separate retention threshold has been captured for that rung, not that renewal is automatic.

Requirements beyond the threshold

  • Silver JayAt least 4 Royal Jordanian flights — still in the published terms, though RJ appears not to have enforced this since late 2024.
  • Gold SparrowAt least 10 Royal Jordanian flights — still in the published terms, though RJ appears not to have enforced this since late 2024.
  • Platinum HawkAt least 20 Royal Jordanian flights — still in the published terms, though RJ appears not to have enforced this since late 2024.

These apply in addition to the Tier Miles figure, so reaching the number alone does not confer the tier.

Fully published on rj.com (Aug 2026): Silver Jay 15,000 tier miles or 14 segments; Gold Sparrow 40,000 or 30 segments; Platinum Hawk 65,000 or 46 segments. Maintenance: Silver 12,000 or 12 segments / Gold 30,000 or 26 segments over 12 months; Platinum 110,000 or 80 segments. The window is ROLLING — the T&Cs measure progression over 'a consecutive twelve months', not a fixed membership year. The Platinum maintenance window is 24 MONTHS on the T&Cs' own prose (capture S, 30 Aug 2026): the contradiction is INSIDE the T&Cs document — its qualification table's 'To Maintain / Period' cell reads 12 months, but the prose two paragraphs on says Platinum Hawk Tier Miles 'are valid for two Membership Years' and deliberately contrasts that against the lower tiers' one — load-bearing drafting, corroborated by the marketing page's '110,000 tier miles or 80 segments over 24 months'. Two of three published statements say 24, and the 12 in the table cell reads as a copy-down from the Silver/Gold rows above it; both readings stay disclosed here. Segment counting has a published trap: Amman–Aqaba, Amman–Tel Aviv and any R-class RJ ticket count as HALF a segment. Bronze Sunbird is the enrolment tier with no threshold; RJ also sells Tier Miles outright. The live calculator at fly.rj.com is the system of record for earning — the published Earn Miles page is stale (it has no Premium Economy band at all): own metal pays W 200% and C 250% Tier Miles with G in the 25% promo band, the Tier Miles ladder is tier-independent and a flat percentage of sector distance (the fare-family × tier table is Award Miles only), and Award and Tier Miles credit identically on every partner flight sector (verified against a live member statement, Aug 2026). Partner coverage now spans 16 oneworld carriers from the validated calculator capture; Alaska-operated sectors inherit Alaska's 500-mile per-segment minimum (S7 and LATAM Brasil are captured but outside the operating roster). Tier Miles are earned only on RJ + oneworld flights (codeshares must be oneworld-marketed AND -operated). On the own-metal minimums of 4/10/20 RJ flights at Silver/Gold/Platinum: the requirement remains in the Royal Club terms, unchanged since 2018 and live as of 31 August 2026 — but Royal Jordanian appears not to have enforced it since around November 2024. Its own tier pages state only the mileage and segment thresholds, its service centre has repeatedly told members that oneworld partner flights alone qualify, and one member reportedly reached Platinum Hawk on 46 Iberia segments in 2025. We keep the requirement shown, because the terms are what Royal Jordanian can enforce at any moment without notice — treat a pure-partner path as possible but not guaranteed. NB stale /royal-plus/ URL paths on rj.com are remnants of the programme's pre-2022 name (Royal Plus became Royal Club), not a pending rename — the 9 Aug 2026 'mid-rename' reading had the direction backwards.
