Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what Qantas Frequent Flyer publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over the same qualification window as the reaching figure; a dash means no separate retention threshold has been captured for that rung, not that renewal is automatic.

Requirements beyond the threshold

  • SilverFour flights with a QF, JQ or GK flight number on the ticket (to attain and to retain).
  • GoldFour flights with a QF, JQ or GK flight number on the ticket (to attain and to retain).
  • PlatinumFour flights with a QF, JQ or GK flight number on the ticket (to attain and to retain).
  • Platinum OneAt least 2,700 Status Credits from flights with a QF flight number on the ticket.

These apply in addition to the Status Credits figure, so reaching the number alone does not confer the tier.

Retention is lower at every tier below Platinum One: Silver keeps at 250, Gold at 600, Platinum at 1,200 Status Credits. Each of those tiers also needs four flights with a Qantas (QF) or Jetstar (JQ or GK) flight number on the ticket, to reach the tier and again to keep it. Platinum One instead requires at least 2,700 of its 3,600 Status Credits on Qantas (QF)-numbered flights. Thresholds count within a Qantas Membership Year, which is personal to each member: it starts on the first day of the month after the month you joined the programme and runs for twelve months, so there is no programme-wide reset date. Renewal at the same threshold for Platinum One, stated on the status-tiers page (capture Y, 11 Sep 2026): its ‘Status Credits required to keep’ row is the same 3,600, including at least 2,700 on flights with a Qantas (QF) flight number on the ticket.
